FAQ

Good to know

What does ceremonial grade mean for matcha?

Ceremonial grade is the highest quality level for matcha. It stands for young, gently ground tea leaves with a delicate aroma and a vibrant green colour, originally made for the Japanese tea ceremony. Baetter matcha comes from Japan, is hand-picked and stone-ground.

How do I prepare matcha properly?

Put about half to one teaspoon of matcha into a bowl, pour in around 60 to 80 ml of hot, not boiling, water (approx. 70 to 80 °C) and whisk until frothy with the chasen in W-shaped motions. For a latte, top up with warm or cold milk; for iced matcha, pour it over ice cubes.

Which flavour is best to start with?

If you're trying matcha for the first time, Matcha Pure is the best start: pure, velvety taste. If you like it more aromatic, choose Peach, Pistachio, Chocolate or Cinnamon Bun.

Is Baetter matcha free from added sugar and additives?

Baetter does without added sugar and without artificial preservatives and colourings, out of conviction. You'll find the full ingredient list on each product page.

Where can I buy Baetter?

Online right here in the shop and in selected Budni stores.

What is Baetter Beauty Collagen?

Baetter Beauty Collagen is a collagen hydrolysate powder made with collagen from Germany, available in 200 g and 450 g. You can add it to your daily matcha ritual, for example.
